Joe and Erin met while attending culinary school in New York, where Joe trained in the culinary arts and Erin specialized in pastry. What began as a shared passion for great food has grown into a dream that continues to evolve. Today, with the addition of Penny's Pit Stop BBQ, both of their culinary worlds are coming to life—bringing together handcrafted desserts, coffee, breakfast, and authentic low-and-slow barbecue under one family vision.
Our daughter, Penny, absolutely loves ice cream, and our youngest daughter, Nora, has affectionately earned the nickname "Narwhal." Becoming parents helped us realize just how important clean, wholesome ingredients are. We wanted to create recipes we felt proud to serve our own girls, free from unnecessary additives and made with quality ingredients. That commitment became the foundation of everything we make.
Whether you're stopping by for a handcrafted espresso, homemade breakfast, small-batch ice cream, or barbecue from Penny's Pit Stop, our goal is simple: to create memorable experiences while serving food made with care, passion, and integrity.
From our family to yours, mahalo for supporting our dream. We're honored to share our table with you and look forward to welcoming you back again and again.
With gratitude,
Joe, Erin, Penny & Nora
